[ Visa Application with Visa Issuance Confirmation Number ]
For Those whose visa type (e.g.D-1, D-6, D-7, D-8 , E-1, E-2, E-3, E-5, E-7, etc.)is only applicable through a local office of Korea Immigration Service. Applicants in this case must be issued "Visa Issuance Confirmation Number" first.
How to apply for a visa
(STEP 1) An inviting party (e.g. employer) in Korea must apply for and obtain the Visa Issuance Confirmation from a local office of Korea Immigration Service in Korea or through the Korea Visa Portal. (STEP 2) After approval by a local office of Korea Immigration Service, the inviting party provides the applicant with the Certificate of Visa Issuance printed from Korea Visa Portal. If any of your personal details in the Certificate is incorrect, please ask the inviting party to make the necessary correction. (STEP 3) Visit the Embassy in person on weekdays between 09:00 and 12:00 (No prior appointment is required.) and submit the following documents. -REQUIRED DOCUMENTS for VISA ISSUANCE CONFIRMATION NUMBER HOLDERS- (1) Completed "APPLICATION FOR VISA For those in possession of visa issuance confirmation", which you receive from the immigration office in Korea through your employer in Korea. -Applicants must fill in the personal details, contact information and write your hand-written signature on the bottom. (2) 1 Colored photo : White background, 3.5*4.5cm in photographic paper taken within last 6 months. Attach the photo on the application form's photo section. General Information on Visa Application Process
-You can visit the Consular Section during working hour (9:00~12:00 on weekdays) after making an appointment. To make an appointment, check the following notice : https://overseas.mofa.go.kr/dk-en/brd/m_7038/view.do?seq=761251&page=1
-You must bring all the required documents for your visa application in person by visiting the Consular Section of the Embassy.
-For applicants with Visa Confirmation Number, Visa Issuance takes up to 5 working days from the application date. (It may take longer than If applicants fail to submit the required documents.)
-There is no emergency visa issuance or expedited service available, and visas will be rejected if there is a solicitation, coercion or urge.
-Your passport will be kept during the visa process.
*6 Month Validity Rule : It means that your passport should be valid for more than six months before you would be allowed to enter Korea. (When you apply for a visa, your passport must be valid for more than six months.)
-For visa and passport pick-up, in-person visit is also required. The Embassy will notify you of the scheduled pick-up date when you visit the Embassy upon your application submission.
-All submitted documents and visa fee for the visa application are non-returnable under any circumstances.
-Visa application is not accepted via post with any reasons.
